An optical industry forum to share information and help during the coronavirus pandemic has been set up by Optix Software managing director Trevor Rowley following last Thursday night’s webinar hosted by Imran Hakim.
Writing to his existing online community Rowley said Optix would absorb the entire cost of the venture and the forum would not carry any branding or commercial messaging. He stressed that the forum would not be part of the Optix website. ‘We have been working today to establish a new “Covid-19” forum which is now available and is open to anyone and everyone within our industry. It will provide an easy method of distributing information and resources to all,’ he wrote, inviting anyone in the optical business to join and contribute at https://optixforum.uk/.
To stress the website’s independence and non-commerciality he added: ‘Once we are through this dreadful period then the forum will be closed, and everyone’s details deleted.’
