Optomed launches range of products for screening eye disease

Finnish manufacturer Optomed has introduced a new range of products and services for screening eye disease.

The Optomed Auroa is a hand-held fundus camera which has a 50º field of view. The non-mydriatic retinal camera also sports a large four-inch colour screen with a modern user interface and simple menus and icons.

The Aurora is also available with Optomed Orbit software, a complete patient data management solution for the viewing and archiving of fundus images.

The second addition to the new range of products is the Optomed Avenue. Using artificial intelligence based software, Avenue can be used to screen for early signs of diabetic retinopathy and automatically analyses retinal images to provide faster results.
