Optometry Northern Ireland appoints new chair and vice chair
Optometry Northern Ireland (ONI) has appointed William Stockdale and Jill Campbell from the Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians (FODO) as chair and vice chair respectively for the next three years.
The voting for these roles took place at the ONI AGM on June 24 in Belfast.
Stockdale said: ‘The need for eye care is rising fast and, building on the progress made under Dr Karen Breslin’s leadership, we can ensure we meet that need. Jill and my priorities will be to raise the profile of optometry in Northern Ireland and unite the profession behind a shared programme of upskilling, expansion and fair fees.’
