Elizabeth Docherty appointed to the new role of director of operations
Optometry Scotland has appointed former director of the Glasgow Social Enterprise Network, Elizabeth Docherty, to the newly created role of director of operations.
Julie Mosgrove, chair of Optometry Scotland, said: ‘We are constantly reviewing and refining our strategy to provide our members with first class representation, and we are excited to have the support of a dedicated director of operations as we lead the organisation from strength to strength.’
Docherty said it was a pivotal time to join Optometry Scotland after the sector secured an examination fee increase. She added she would work with membership organisations to grow Optometry Scotland’s membership and support its goals to ensure the sustainability of eye care in Scotland.
