OrCam signs Lionel Messi on three-year deal

OrCam Technologies has signed a three-year ambassadorship agreement with Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi and hosted a launch event in Barcelona.

The Israel-based company has formed the partnership with Messi to increase awareness of the challenges faced by the blind and visually impaired community globally.

Messi met with blind and visually impaired individuals at a launch event in Barcelona and gifted them an OrCam MyEye device, an assistive technology solution.

‘The emotion was incredible. Meeting with this amazing group of people from around the world was truly a magical and inspiring moment,’ Messi said at the event.

Participants in OrCam’s Dream Team project are from different countries to highlight that approximately 300 million people worldwide live with blindness or visual impairment.
