Newmedica opens an eye health clinic in North Ormesby, Teesside
Independent provider of NHS-funded ophthalmology services, Newmedica, has opened an eye health clinic in North Ormesby, Teesside.
The fifth to be opened nationally, the Teesside clinic will provide NHS and private ophthalmology, and accept referrals from local optometrists and GPs.
Services available include cataract surgery and management, ocular hypertension and glaucoma treatment and YAG.
Operational director of the new clinic Annette Johnson said: ‘The opening is one positive step towards avoiding preventable sight loss for many in the UK. Local people need access to exceptional eye surgery and treatment without the unnecessary worry of long waiting times.’
