Practices urged to prioritise profit

A programme to increase profitability has launched

Norville, Eyeplan and Independents Day have encouraged independent optical practices to utilise a new programme that has been designed to increase their profitability.

The More Profits More Often programme included a Profitability Research Report and a self-study course on profit.

It was designed by Graham Hutchison from the Independent Marketing Partnership and was based on his two-year project on independent practice profitability.

‘Most independent opticians are currently busy dealing with a patient backlog. But it’s essential they also focus on their profitability, especially if they are thinking of going private or selling up in the near future,’ Hutchison said.
