RNIB organises Double Dash fun run

RNIB launches fun run where people participate in pairs

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has launched an accessible for all five kilometres fun run where people can participate in pairs.

Named Double Dash, it will take place in Regent’s Park in London on May 11 and will allow pairs to run using a tether, similar to visually impaired people running with a guide. The registration fee is £20 per pair with a joint fundraising target of £250.

Alex McDowell, head of Public Fundraising at RNIB, said: ‘Double Dash is a unique twist on a 5k fun run – it's not just about fitness, it's about coordination and collaboration, too. You’ll run together, fundraise together, and together we’ll smash the barriers faced by people with sight loss. Once you’re signed up, you’ll receive a fundraising pack full of top tips, as well as expert training advice, giving you everything you need to smash your fundraising and fitness goals.’
