Sales award for Inspecs

The eyewear company has been recognised for its growth in overseas sales over the last three years

Inspecs Group has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade for the second time in recognition of its growth in overseas sales over the last three years.

The eyewear company said that winning the award for the second time highlighted its commitment to providing the highest standard of design and manufacturing to customers.

Robin Totterman, CEO and founder of Inspecs Group, said: ‘I am absolutely thrilled that Inspecs has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade once again. It is an amazing achievement considering we started the business out of my railway cottage in Battersea in 1988. Today, we are celebrating the company’s success as a global business.’

Over the past three years, overseas sales have grown from annual sales of £14.2m to £38.1m, a total growth of 168.3%.

Inspecs, which first won the award in 2007, will be presented with the 2020 award during a reception held at Buckingham Palace later this year.

The eyewear company, which is currently diverting production to supply personal protective equipment goggles to NHS staff in Bath, also floated shares on the London Stock Exchange in February.
