Oti Mabuse has kicked off the search for Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2019.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer has worn glasses since the age of 10 and contact lenses when she’s performing.

She said: ‘I’ve got about 20 pairs of glasses and I love changing them to go with different outfits. I feel more confident when I put my specs on. Kids used to call me four eyes, but I always say four eyes are better than two. I believe people should be proud to wear glasses. Embrace them, they are part of who you are and you are fabulous!’

To enter the competition and be in with a chance to win the £10,000 cash prize, all glasses wearers aged 16 and over can visit specsavers.co.uk/loveglassescomp, share a selfie and tell Specsavers what their glasses mean to them.

The deadline for entries is June 30. Specsavers will donate £1 per entry to children’s anti-bullying charity Kidscape.
