Shamir: Advancing Glacier

Shamir has extended its line of Glacier lens coatings with Shamir Glacier Expression.

The new coating is said to have provided a high level of clarity, devoid of disturbing reflections, for improved quality of vision.

Glacier Expression has been based on Shamir’s latest proprietary technology, LayerCalc, which has been developed through extensive research and development in multi-layered lens coatings.

This technology allowed the addition of extra layers, each with a refractive index precision calculated to a specific light wavelength and targeting those to which the eye is most sensitive. Despite added layers, the same coating thickness and level of durability have been maintained, while reflection is minimised to a new level of control, and light transmission is maximised.
