Sight loss grants to reduce unemployment

The Vision Foundation has made grants of up to £50,000 available

Grants of up to £50,000 have been made available by the Vision Foundation to organisations in London that have ideas on how to reduce unemployment among blind and partially sighted people.

Smaller grants of up to £10,000 were also available and would be awarded to projects for a one-year period, while larger grants would be for longer-term initiatives.

Olivia Curno, chief executive of the Vision Foundation, said: ‘We are excited to be able to use the Vision Fund to spark ideas which will make a real change to the work prospects for blind and partially sighted Londoners.’
