Sight loss research launched

Volunteers are being sought by the RNIB, Guide Dogs and TPT

A group of sight loss charities has launched a research project that will highlight the realities of life for blind and partially-sighted people in the UK.

The study will interview people about their experiences and needs, and results will be shared across the sector in order to improve services and support.

Volunteers for participation in the study have been called for by the Royal National Institute of Blind People, Guide Dogs and the Thomas Pocklington Trust.

Phil Ambler, director of evidence and policy at the Thomas Pocklington Trust, said: ‘This research will be used to inform our work, helping us to target our services, working jointly to make a positive difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people.’
