Specsavers agrees deal to open practices in Sainsbury’s stores
A new deal between Specsavers and Sainsbury’s has been agreed to place the high street multiple’s optical practices inside supermarkets.
The first location opened this week at Sainsbury’s Marsh Mills store in Plymouth and was the first of three that will open by October, with additional locations planned in future if the first tranche is a success.
A Specsavers spokesperson told Optician: ‘We have chosen these initial locations on the basis that they are a good fit for the group, and we hope to be able to progress other locations as we develop our relationship with Sainsbury’s.’
