Specsavers wins Mobile App of the Year award

Specsavers has won this year’s Mobile App of the Year award at the UK IT Industry Awards 2016.

Made for tablet devices, the Digital Precision Eyecare (DPE) application takes the measurements needed to dispense a pair of glasses and creates lenses unique to the customer without the need of a manual ruler.

Paul Fletcher, CEO of BCS, The Chartered Institute of IT said: ‘Our judges were highly impressed with Specsavers who stood out as applying simple but innovative design thinking and execution to create a real commercial solution that has transformed how customers engage in eye care.’
