SynergEyes partners with Brien Holden Vision Institute

SynergEyes has announced a new partnership with the Brien Holden Vision Institute

SynergEyes has announced a new partnership with the Brien Holden Vision Institute to deliver vision correction for myopes and presbyopes.

This worldwide licensing agreement means that the manufacture of design technologies developed by the Brien Holden Vision Institute will improve the SynergEyes’ presbyopic package with the latest hybrid contact lens designs, a statement said.

These new optical designs incorporated an extended depth of focus to provide a high level of visual performance from distances to close up with minimal ghosting.

James Kirchner, president and CEO of SynergEyes, said: ‘Working with a recognized worldwide leader like the Brien Holden Vision Institute, we plan to bring an extended depth-of-focus lens design onto the hybrid platform to the global market.’

This announcement follows the prediction that around half of the world’s population are estimated to be myopic by 2050.
