Dan Williams, founder of Visualise Training and Consultancy, has been announced as one of the most influential people with a disability in the UK.
This was revealed at a reception at the South Bank Centre, London on October 17. More than 700 nominations were received for The Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 List.
Williams launched his business with help from The Prince’s Trust and has helped organisations to become disability confident by recommending appropriate support for employees with visual impairments.
He has taken part in the UK-wide roadshow Seeing Beyond the Eyes, has volunteered with the RNIB Working Age and Transitions group and is a young ambassador for The Prince’s Trust.
Williams said: ‘I’m delighted to be included in the Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 List at such an early stage in my career and accept this accolade on behalf of the 2 million people in the UK with sight loss. Overcoming my challenges has given me resilience, determination and the ambition needed to be successful.’
