Team raise nearly £6,000 for charity by completing the Three Peaks Challenge

Bondeye Optical sales director Dave Walker and his wife Kerry, along with a team of friends, have raised nearly £6,000 for charity by completing the Three Peaks Challenge, taking in the highest mountains of England, Scotland, and Wales in a gruelling 28-hour period.

Kerry said: ‘It all came about as my mum has got Parkinson’s and my husband’s mum has got motor neurone disease. When we decided to do it both mine (Quattro Pensions, in Redditch) and my husband’s work got involved to help and that ended up in a group of 11 of us taking part. It meant a lot to have them join us.

‘One of my colleagues is having chemotherapy this year, so we also raised money for cancer research.’

All of the money will be split between Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Breast Cancer Now, and the Macular Society.

The team also comprised Matt Lindsey, Luke Evans, Jake Hubbard, Thomas Longe, Jo Cummings, Verity Pedley, Mark Frost, Andrew Cooper and Andrew Brittle.
