Edmonds & Slatter Opticians’ assistant manager Carol Barker and laboratory administrator Lynn Shalvey have celebrated 25 years of service each.
Barker and Shalvey received gifts of flowers, jewellery and holidays abroad from the practice’s partners as a gesture of gratitude.
Dispensing optician and partner at the practice Tim Cole said: ‘Carol is such a familiar face at the Glenfield practice and around the village, people are always asking after her. Her dedication and willingness to go beyond the call of duty are why Edmonds and Slatter have such a good reputation for customer service. Lynn is another ideal example of the staff we have - loyal, conscientious and hard working. Her efforts make a tremendous difference to the success of our business.’
Cole added: ‘I am proud that so many staff members who joined in the early days are still with us. We take great pride in our professionalism, aiming to be the best in our field rather than the biggest.’
