Update hints at Glass return

Google releases software update for its assumed-defunct Glass

After nearly three years, Google has rolled out a software update for its assumed-defunct Glass augmented reality spectacle project.

The latest update is minor, with ‘bug fixes and performance improvements’. However, improved Bluetooth capabilities were also added, allowing the device to connect to external keyboards and mice, hinting at added functionality in enterprisescenarios.

Glass was shelved in January 2015 after public reaction pointed towards privacy concerns and usability limitations.

The MyGlass app also received an update.
