Volunteers are urgently needed to provide eye care at centres in Leeds, Exeter and Manchester as clinics return after Covid-19, said Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP).

The charity called for optometrists to test occasionally at the Birmingham and Leeds clinics on Mondays and Manchester on Wednesdays.

David Brown said, VCHP general manager, said: ‘Many in the profession are re-assessing their lives post-lockdown and may be looking to use their skills in a benevolent and relatively easy way – we would love to hear from them.’
