​Chief executive of charity Vision for a Nation Tom Rosewall resigns

Chief executive of charity Vision for a Nation (VFAN) Tom Rosewall has resigned.

During his time as CEO, Rosewell oversaw VFAN exceed its original targets in Rwanda, training 2,500 primary eye care nurses, establishing primary eye care departments in more than 500 health centres and distributing glasses through the public health supply chain.

In 2016, he won a Third Sector Excellence Award for rising chief executive.

Board of trustees chairman John Rhodes said: ‘The board is enormously grateful for Tom’s contribution to VFAN’s work over the past three years. His energy and dedication have enabled us to achieve results way beyond our original expectations. He leaves a strong foundation for VFAN’s future expansion.’
