Following the postponement of Vision Expo’s conferences, the exhibition has released a schedule of virtual weekly panels.
Running since mid-April, the Eye2Eye educational series will continue into July with sessions planned for 5.15pm on Wednesdays. The topics for the panels have been drawn from panels originally scheduled for Vision Expo East 2020 and will be supplemented by new conversations that address current challenges.
The next session will be held on June 17 and will focus on diversity and inclusion. Therapeutic optometrist Dr Danielle Richardson will lead the session through a series of conversations with individuals from different segments of the optical industry. Dr Richardson will explore the current racial climate with the black optical community and examine ways to work as allies in pushing a diverse and equitable agenda forward.
Further topics will include retail in the post-Covid environment, incorporating sports vision into your practice and independent eyewear history.
