Vision Express pays tribute to long serving members of staff

Dispensing optician David Turnock has been honoured by Vision Express for reaching 50 years of service with the company.

The Carmarthen optician became the organisation’s first member of staff to reach half a century of service as Vision Express hosted its annual Long Service Awards this month.

Turnock was not the only member of staff who was singled out for his outstanding contribution, as 98 other team members marked employment milestones totalling 1,872 years.

Bradford dispensing optician Aelith Pugh received an award for 35 years, while Julie Ruck, optical assistant at the Llanelli store, celebrated 20 years with Vision Express.

Vision Express CEO Jonathan Lawson said: ‘Our employees are the lifeblood of the company, so it’s fantastic to mark their outstanding dedication and commitment.’
