The UK-based membership organisation for local sight loss charities, Visionary, hosted its annual conference online for the first time.
Nearly 300 people attended online sessions between November 18-20. Interactive workshops were hosted by Visionary’s members, with topics such as building relationships with local authorities and approaches to digital fundraising covered.
Visionary’s conference also saw the launch of a charter for sight loss sector, followed by a discussion that included representatives from Thomas Pocklington Trust, Blind Veterans UK, and Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Workshops from the conference have been uploaded to Visionary’s YouTube channel alongside a recording of the optimistic keynote address from Debra Allcock Tyler, the chief executive of charity support organisation the Directory of Social Change.
