The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM) Education Trust has announced its second year of travel awards for training ophthalmologists.
Applicants must be within Ophthalmic Specialist Training years ST1 to 7, on Out of Programme Research or be undertaking a fellowship post ST7, aiming to present a research paper or poster at a national or international conference in the next year.
Trustees will accept applications between January 21 and February 25, with awards intended to help with travel and accommodation costs for a conference where the applicant’s work has been accepted for presentation within the 2019 calendar year.
Professor Chris Hull, chairman of the WCSM Education Trust, said: ‘We look forward to receiving applications and hearing more about some of the innovative projects which will be presented by ophthalmologists in training during 2019.’
