Donation of just over £20,000 given to WCSM
A donation of just over £20,000 has been received by the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers Education Trust from three former members of the group.
David Burt OBE, the former chairman, Richard Milshin and Ewan Page, fellow directors of the original Optical Consumer Complaints Council (OCCC) hope their donation will help encourage new entrants into the optical profession.
Professor Chris Hull, Chairman of the WCSM Education Trust, said he was ‘enormously grateful’ for the contribution and explained that the funding would help members to ‘promote the aims of the Trust’.
