Moneo writes: Grasping our chance in 2020

It hardly seems possible that another year end is upon us. As I write this the outcome of the election is still unknown but one thing is sure and that is that next year presents optometry with one of the greatest opportunities to highlight our profession ever.

The phrase 2020 vision is synonymous throughout the world with all things good and positive. We all have the opportunity next year to make the most of that fact. It is abundantly clear from what has not happened throughout the election that we can expect nothing from our political masters. Over the years the politicians have pursued policies that have undoubtedly contributed to premature blindness for many.
