The Big Optometry Blog: A sea swim in November for Blind Veterans UK

A fantastic £1,900 has been raised for Blind Veterans UK through Optician’s summer sporting challenge, while fundraising is almost complete I have added an end of season surprise.

If you have been following the story you will be aware that this year’s target event, the Sussex Original Triathlon, was cancelled due to bad weather. The Brighton Marina Triathlon, a tad shorter, took its place a week later. In an effort to give sponsors value for money I have signed up another event. It’s a 2.2 mile swim in the sea beneath the Seven Sisters on the Sussex coast and by all accounts is as tough as it is enjoyable.
