A post on BBR Optometry’s Instagram showed why the company made the shortlist for Social Media Practice of the Year at this year’s Optician Awards. The quip ‘OCT since 2007, #justsaying’ outlined its position of being an innovative practice, while also having a little swipe at those who have recently jumped on the OCT bandwagon. Nothing wrong with that – all’s fair in love and social media.

For over a decade, OCT has been a clear differentiator for independent opticians. Being able to call upon hospital grade equipment in high street practices was a real boon and was something practitioners in multiples could only yearn for.
