Organisers Proven Track Record have reached an agreement with National Eyecare Group (NEG) to join forces in delivering a combined event offering business support to the independent sector.
The alliance will see Independents Day move from the July date it has occupied since July 4 2005, to the NEG calendar slot in November.
‘With an increasingly crowded optical events calendar and four different events for the independent sector, PTR believes this is a sensible move for practices and industry alike. There is only so much time you can take out of your business every year and industry cannot be expected to continue to fund so many events through sponsor exhibition fees,’ the organisers said.
