The College of Optometrists will host its one-day conference later this year to include some of the most popular lectures, seminars and workshops seen at the annual two-day event in March 2018. There will be a presentation of macular degeneration from consultant ophthalmologist Kam Balaggan and his patient Professor Gilmartin, as well as retinoscopy workshops, a peer review for independent prescribers and peer discussion sessions.
Professor Edward Mallen, college president, said: ‘Originally for those who couldn’t attend the two-day annual conference, Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize is now a key event in the College’s calendar. It has gained a reputation for high quality CET sessions and draws some of the most respected practitioners from the eye health sector as speakers and presenters.
