Lectures as diverse as 'Spectacle filters for therapeutic use', and 'LVAs in the high street', have been lined up for ABDO's autumn CET weekend.

To be held in Glasgow, the two days (September 17-18) will include The Dispensing Show which will host a number of exhibitors in the city's Radisson SAS Hotel, as well as the Association's agm and annual dinner.

But the key element of the event will be the packed lecture and workshop agenda that starts at 1.30pm on the Saturday of the weekend with Martin Rubinstein discussing 'Contact lenses: the post-graft cornea  -  anything more individual?'

Professor Mo Jalie will give a presentation on the technology behind high base curve spectacle lenses for sport, and Glyn Walsh will ask whether British Standards are a help or a hindrance to dispensing.

The bulk of the lecture programme will take place on the Sunday, including Ian Pyzer's presentation on contact lens problem-solving. Meanwhile Elaine Grisdale will consider how to edit the vast choice of progressive lens designs to ensure the optimum lens type is dispensed.
