Bill Harvey takes another look at a multipurpose and versatile instrument that now boasts a dry eye assessment function

is a couple of years since I last looked at the Visionix Vx120 (figure 1). The machine was remarkable both for the wide range of tests it was able to undertake (topography, anterior chamber analysis, autorefraction, adapted tonometry to name but a few – look out for a full review of the instrument in its latest guise) and for the ‘touch of a button’ ease with which it can be operated. Towards the end of last year, I discovered that the Vx 120 now includes a dry eye assessment battery of tests so I was keen to take a second look. This feature will focus upon this dry eye assessment function.
