In a time where we are often told to be 'patient centred' we need to look at our patients' needs. While not all patients are natural athletes, most of us partake in activities away from work and home life, if only playing Frisbee on the beach (discussed later in this series) or jumping in the pool while on holiday. Many elite athletes are obsessive about performance and strive to get the most out of their bodies and the equipment used.
