A definitively British frame designer is Oliver Goldsmith, who started his career in optics as an apprentice in 1959 before spending the 1960s providing iconic eyewear to luminaries including Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine and Sophia Loren. After finding recent success in Japan with his frame designs from the 1960s and 1970s, Goldsmith is now bringing these authentic retro frames to the UK.
