The term ‘wavefront’ has been frequently used in refractive surgery for more than a decade. The term, once inextricably linked to innovation and newness, is now practically a mainstay of refractive surgery in one form or another. Newer lasers have emerged over the past few years that have actively sought new areas of innovation while building on the extensive knowledge of earlier technology. One such example is the Schwind Amaris platform, within which comes the technique ‘aberration-free.’
