You were then invited to complete six multiple-choice questions before then undertaking an interactive exercise. Here we publish the answers and summarise the outcome from the interactivity.

Q1 Which of the following statements best describes the coefficient of friction (CoF)?

A The ratio of the force of friction between two surfaces and the force pressing them together.

In its simplest form, friction is the resistance offered to one surface as it moves over another and this is influenced by any force tending either to bind or separate them.
