Exhibition
The highest profile launch at the exhibition had to be the Optos Daytona. Optos is making some significant waves in the optometry instrumentation world and its recent acquisition of OPKO and its OCT instrumentation has made the company a big player in ophthalmic diagnostics. The Daytona is a desktop version of the more familiar laser scanning device. With a much reduced footprint and apparently better patient positioning, it should be an instrument to watch out for. Optos plans to combine functionality with OCT in future so watch this space.
