Mark’ennovy offers a one-step peroxide disinfectant solution for contact lenses. The system, which features a Vitamin B2 yellow colour indicator, is said to disinfect and neutralise in one hour, providing a rapid and comprehensive clean for all types of soft and rigid contact lenses, including soft silicone hydrogel lenses. Its neutralising tablet’s coating dissolves during a 12-minute disinfectant stage on its way to transforming into a preservative-free saline solution at the end of the neutralisation. Its formulation with dual-disinfecting technology effectively kills harmful bacteria that may significantly threaten healthy contact lens wear. According to the company, the product disinfects like a peroxide with the simplicity and all-day comfort of an advanced multi-purpose solution.
Oté: Fine
Oté describes its Fine product as an all in one comfort solution for rigid gas permeable and ortho-k contact lenses. Fine is said to deliver comfort due to special agent HPMC and effective thorough cleaning with strong disinfecting qualities. The solution is pH neutral to minimise the risk of irritation and contains no animal substances.
Menicon: MeniCare Pure
MeniCare Pure is a multipurpose solution manufactured by Menicon to promote healthy rigid gas permeable lens care. Designed with health in mind for cleaning, disinfecting, rinsing and lens storage, the product is said to be the first solution formulated with natural ingredients such as polylysine (instead of PHMB) as a disinfecting agent as well as vitamin C glucoside and hyaluronic acid, making it suitable for sensitive eyes. Hy-Care multipurpose solution contains hyaluronan, a naturally-occurring lubricant found in the eye. This multipurpose solution is said to offer effective disinfection while being gentle on the eye.
