To be effective, Safilens says a toric daily disposable contact lens should properly stabilise and be consistent. Unlike a frequent replacement lens, it has to be thin and comfortable on first fitting.
In response, Safilens developed a new simple and effective toric lens design (pictured above) with minimum decentration between surfaces and with inner toricity.
The unique SleekForm stability design is said to use a minimum pure prism profile to achieve quick and precise orientation without the need of enhanced thickness zones in the lens.
The lens uses and also benefits from the company’s Fusion technology, in which the synergistic actions of hyaluronic acid and TSP normalise and keep the physiological relation between tear film and ocular surface stable with the aim of giving wearers natural and longer-lasting comfort.

EyeDream TRX from CooperVision Specialty EyeCare is a customised orthokeratology lens, designed to help improve success rates when fitting astigmatic patients.
EyeDream TRX can correct up to -2.50D of cylinder around the clock and is ordered and fitted like a standard EyeDream lens using the EyeDream software.
Based on the patient’s topography, EyeDream TRX uses data from both the flat and steep meridians to create a custom lens with a toric periphery that fits uniformly to the patient’s eye, and this may help to improve comfort and centration for wearers.

Saphir RX for Astigmatism is an individually crafted, daily wear, 75% water proprietary silicone hydrogel lens.
The low dehydration material with its highly lubricious surface (coefficient of friction = 0.02) and low modulus (0.33 Mpa) is said to deliver exceptional comfort while ensuring the wearer experiences optimum vision and easy handling throughout the lens’ lifecycle.
