Hospital-based contact lens practitioners will have greater involvement in the use of contact lenses for therapeutic purposes, however, practitioners in general practice may be called upon to assist in the management of therapeutic contact lens wearers. In addition, they may be called upon to manage a patient wearing a therapeutic lens who is attending for aftercare.
