Saturday morning opened with a short paper session. Professor Martin Rubinstein (Nottingham) discussed the problem of accurate IOL calculation in cataract patients who have previously undergone kerato-refractive surgery. Corneal changes resulting from this surgery invalidate the keratometry assumptions used in IOL power formulae. Strategies to ensure accurate IOL calculation in these patients were addressed.
