Aberdeen practice Corry & Christie Optometrists fought back against declining patient numbers and competition from multiples and supermarkets to win an Optician Award
The winner of the first Independent Fight Back Award was Corry & Christie Optometrists of Aberdeen, which underwent considerable change last year under the husband and wife team of David and Gillian Corry.
David, who went to City University, previously worked in southern England for Leightons before moving to Black and Lizars in Scotland. He then became proprieter of the Aberdeen practice Eddie & Drummond in 2004, having joined the business in 2003. This prompted a total rebrand, practice refit, and an advertising and PR campaign to announce the change in direction.
