Interactive CET feedback: Progressive lenses

Bill Harvey offers some feedback on the latest interactive CET exercise

For this exercise you were asked to consider a fairly typical case of early presbyopia and how best to correct the vision. The patient under consideration was female with a date of birth 7/8/72. She appeared to show signs of incipient presbyopia.

She has only used a single vision distance correction to this point but near work has recently become a struggle. She is a mobile interior designer and uses a tablet throughout the day, adopting a typical working distance of 50cm. She also undertakes some paper-based accounting work, for which she uses a 40cm working distance.

She drives between appointments and is keen to wear a correction she can leave on throughout the day.
