​Moorfields and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology launch new Advanced Clinical Optometry & Ophthalmology course

Moorfields and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology (IoO) has launched a new Advanced Clinical Optometry and Ophthalmology master’s course.

The course will start in September and will offer optometrists opportunities for professional development and an expansion of their roles and responsibilities within ophthalmic healthcare. Students will receive education and training in various subspecialties of ophthalmology and optometry.

Programme director and glaucoma service director at Moorfields Eye Hospital Gus Gazzard said: ‘This course will equip attendees with the detailed clinical knowledge to help them manage ophthalmology patients in a wide range of clinic settings. It has been developed by leaders in each of their respective fields and draws on the wealth of practical experience found in Moorfields Eye Hospital in collaboration with the teaching expertise of UCL.’
