Bushnell’s big push at Optrafair centred around its sporting legacy, excellence in lens technology and drawing on the powerful heritage held in its brands.
Bushnell’s B Thin programme is available across its sunglass portfolio, making 90 per cent of the products available as prescription options. Lenses can be single vision or progressive in base 6 or 8 curves using sports friendly materials such as Trivex and polycarbonate. Freeform glazing offers corrections from -8 to +6, and where necessary blends the lens profile out at the edge to maintain the optics while reducing the thickness of the lens.
One of the standout pieces at Optrafair picked up on the current penchant for cycling and Bollé’s coup in securing a three-year term as the Official Eyewear partner for the Giro d’Italia. Its signature piece for the iconic Italian professional cycling tour is its 6th Sense model. 6th Sense is also worn by Bollé sponsored AG2R La Mondiale and Orica GreenEdge teams. Bollé worked with the teams to perfect the performance of the model which has Trivex lenses, removable side shields, an adjustable nose piece and high grip temple tips.
