A passion for brands, especially the locally based fashion retailer Joules, and a strong flow of NHS patients means there is plenty of work for existing eye care practitioners.

Optometrist Anthony Clarke, owner of Clarke & Roskrow Optometrists, said practices in Market Harborough were fortunate to have clients from three surrounding counties, as well as native Harborians, whom he described as ‘very friendly and welcoming people’.
Clarke took over the practice two years ago, but would not advise anyone to open a practice in Market Harborough ‘simply because the town, like many, is saturated with opticians,’ he said.
