Famous for being the port from which the RMS Titanic made her ill-fated maiden voyage, Southampton is a vibrant and growing city on the south coast of England.
With a newly built £85million leisure complex and an annual music festival, the Hampshire city is a hub of activity for a quarter of a million Sotonians, which includes a student population of 35,000.
Southampton Port was inaugurated in 1843 and today is home to a variety of marine service providers that create around 25,000 jobs.
Southampton boasts many optical practices, which includes a handful of independent clinics. Jill Bennett, co-owner of Ralph Neale Opticians, has been working in optics for 30 years and spoke about the special relationship she has built with local patients.
