Two of the more evident conclusions to be drawn from scrutinising the show stands of eyewear manufacturers at Mido 2011 are that the volume of retro frame styles is still increasing and that confidence has returned to the eyewear market. The latter observation could be drawn not only from the return of large manufacturers such as Safilo and Luxottica in a corporate presence, but by the return of more extravagant frame styles with brighter colours and louder detailing.
